Show Box is an app that lets you discover, stream and download movies, TV shows, music and a wide range of other content to your Android device.
Show Box gives you access to a massive library of movies and TV shows that you can enjoy without paying anything. When you find something you want to watch, you have the option to Watch Now or Download. Watch Now streams the content and is great if you’re on Wi-Fi and want to enjoy the content without delay. Download lets you download the entire file for offline use. You can download via Wi-Fi while at home and enjoy that movie later when you only have cellular access.
Quality of content generally ranges from 480p to 1080p. You may come across higher-quality content at times. The lower qualities are nice because they require less bandwidth, and smaller screens won’t take full advantage of 1080p anyway. Content supports subtitles, and with an OpenSubtitles account, the app can often automatically fetch the subtitles you require. A recent Show Box update added the ability to stream and download music, and managing your music and TV shows has become easier as well.
Perhaps the biggest issue with Show Box is that it pulls content from peer-to-peer networks and the like. That means that a lot of the content available is probably obtained illegally. You can’t even pay for movies and other content through this app if you wanted to. Legality aside, drawing from these unofficial sources can make the app and content availability unpredictable at best.
